As some of you may know I am involved in the Cursillo® Movement here in San Antonio. We had a Leaders Workshop this past weekend and I purchased the latest “Leader’s Manual” of the Cursillo® Movement. I lived my Cursillo® in 1983 when I was 17years old, my parents were also part of the Cursillo®. I was a part of what was known at the time as the Young adult Cursillo® Movement in San Antonio, which was an outreach to young people by then Archbishop Patrick Flores, he was also a big supporter of the Cursillo®. We had to end the Young Adult Movement when the National Cursillo® decided that the “Young Adult” Cursillo® was not being “authentic”, although I think it has more to do with copyright infringement of the word Cursillo®, lol but as cursillistas say “Ultreya!”- “Onward!”. As I read the Cursillo® literature, I found some great information and look forward to working with the English Cursillo® Movement in San Antonio. As the closing line of our Leaders prayer states . St Paul, patron saint of Cursillo®, pray for us.
As I guess you can tell, the “®” was quite distracting to me! It is peppered all over the Leader’s Manual. ¡De Colores!®
